The year 2012 is upon us and with the new year comes the first event by the UFC hosted in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on January 14th. UFC 142 will take place in Rio and the main event will feature a hometown hero in Jose Aldo as he defends his featherweight title against Chad Mendes. This will be a big event and a nice way for The Ultimate Fighting Championship to kick off the year. This event will be available on pay per view however for those who cannot watch it on TV it is possible to watch UFC 142 online because the live streams will be available. Fans will be able to watch Aldo vs Mendes online and watch UFC Rio online in full as long as they have access to a computer with an internet connection.
Jose Aldo is one of the very best fighters in the sport and Chad Mendes is righ up there. The problem is that nobody has had an answer for Aldo who rips through opponents. Mendes will try to change that pattern when he faces Aldo in his hometown. That will not be an easy task.
The co main event of the night also has alot of people excited. Anthony “Rumble” Johnson will fight Vitor “The Phenom” Belfort in what will definitely be an exciting contest. Johnson rumbled past Charlie Brenneman and Dan Hardy in his last two fights and he is looking to make it three in a row in hopes of getting a title shot. Vitor Belfort has won 6 of 7 fights since 2007 and the majority of those have been by knockout so we can be sure that this fight will be action packed.
